The NOLA Fruit Tree Project is a local organization that will harvest fruit from your tree and deliver it to food banks around the city. Once you register your fruit tree, volunteers will come and harvest the fruit and let you keep as much fruit as you would like. The fruit that is left over is delivered to food banks around the city. This year they have harvested over 10,000 pounds of fruit. Just visit www.nolafruit.org to get more information on how to register your tree.
